My Story

Marketing strategist, feminist, Black woman, mom, lifelong learner, defender of good | she/her
I am a creative marketing communications strategist and leader with a passion for serving organizations with strong missions. For the past decade, I have worked to support educational organizations, including my current role as communications manager at the Texas Association of School Boards.
I believe that nonprofits deserve quality marketing that helps them reach their goals of growing membership, raising funds, or increasing awareness about a cause. In 2015, I started freelance consulting with mission-focused organizations. A lifelong learner, my current interests include diversity and inclusion, U.S. history, and etymology.
I have an MS in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University and a bachelor’s degree in English writing and rhetoric from St. Edward’s University. Currently, I live in Austin, Texas with my one husband, two kids, and two cats.
